G-3010 Battery change - Having some problems! Help!

    Dear all,

I have a working G-3010 that uses a CR2016 battery. It was getting low so I decided to change it.

I removed the back cover and took out the small spring that makes contact with the buzzer and then removed the battery. Upon replacing the battery I now have nothing displayed on the screen?

Any ideas? I have taken the whole module apart to see if there is anything visibly wrong but there doesn't seem to be. Is there only the one spring inside the unit or have a possibly lost one?

    Cheers for any help,

After changing the battery, did you short the battery with the AC contact for several seconds?

As Lex said, it sounds like you didn't short the AC contact. If you go back to the main G-Shock forum, and go to the top of the page and click on the link to the "How to.." sun forum, there's a thread about changing batteries. All the information you need is in there.

That's great. I seem to remember having the same problem with the same watch (it was my first battery change).
