    G-5500ts

I've had this yellow beauty for a few weeks now (loving it!)...one thing that's annoying me though is the backlight only stays on for a quick second. Actually it's probably 1.5 seconds to be exact.

I own three other 5500's and I am able to change the illumination from 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds by holding B in timekeeping mode. However on this watch that changes the city. Does anyone know if I'm able to increase the illumination time on this watch?

    Thanks!

What does the manual say? If it doesn't mention it, then it won't be possible.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

And if you haven't got the manual, look at the 4 digit module number on the case back and download it from here:

The Search function on vBulletin forums isn't very smart. If you want to search for a complete string in the G-Shock forum, or for posts which include multiple words, use Google, and enter site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 into the search box. Then use normal google syntax after that to enter your search.

I got the same one and it isn't possible to change the illuminatin duration unfortunately. Except for that it's one of the nicest yellow G-Shocks I had so far. And the color is also very resistant to all kinds of influences - it just survived 12 days of holiday in Crete with 30+degrees celcius each day, sand, sweat, dirt, seawater and pool. Not the slightest sign of the yellow getting dirty or anything. My yellow GW-6900 showed signs of the yellow getting dirty after only a week of wearing it - mainly for desk-diving .
