    G-7700-1 ER: A G-Shock to buy?

I have received from my local dealer a mail with the availability of the new Gulfam and the new G-7700 in the shop

Do you have some comments, advice, suggestion about the G-7700?

Da you like it? What's the size compared to the G-9000?

It's a good piece to have?

    :thanks

    hi schirra,

personally I think the display is WAY to cluttered, to many informations on to less space = very small digits. I also can't see for the life of me what a 1/1000 sec stopwatch is good for, even worse that its capable only of stopping the time for 60 minutes

the watch has a nice design however, and I like the extra window at 10 o' clock that shows day and the current week. but thats about it and the lack of solar and waveceptor technology doesn't make it exactly better. so for me its a "non-considerable-G".

    regards, holger

Thanks, for your interesting thought... me too I think is not so "useful", just the design attract me, but maybe this is not enough....

It looks overly complicated to me. Most of those features are present in other models as well. And those features that aren't, I don't think you need it.

Who needs the 1/1000 sec stopwatch unless you are timing the laps for Formula 1?

Not too complex if you ask me. The stopwatch offers some things I've not seen before asides from the 1/1000 sec which I agree is unneeded. 2 CDTs is nice too, the first rolls over to the second and you can set them in hr, min and secs. It will only cycle through 5X though. In world time you can display home time, 2ndary time and a 3rd variable timezone. Being able to set the hour chime for a period of the day, on weekends or weekdays is something I've not seen on other watches. The flashing lights during the alarm might help some people too.

I sold my mudman but plan to keep this one. Solar and atomic would be a plus but I can deal with not having them.

I also have the Kawasaki model and love the bright green color.
