G-7900-3DR: Quick and Dirty Olive Green 7900

I wore my G-7900-3DR yesterday. During the afternoon, I took my four year old to Riverside Park. There, we watched a play called "Dotty Dot" -- put on by some very young, enthusiastic theater kids (college or maybe just out of college) -- in the old fashioned way. Sheets strung up between two trees served as curtains, etc. Very homespun and very cute.

I really wanted the blue 7900 and I posted pictures of that earlier. But the same seller I had found on Amazon offered the olive version for a good price as well. I found I could not resist. I think this quartet of 7900s (black, blue, red and olive green) is going to get a lot of wrist time -- particularly on the weekends. They are big, bold and very comfortable.

I'm sure I'll get a GW-7900 or two -- sooner or later. I may even break down and get the white G-7900. I clearly need serious help!

So here is the G-Shock and few shots of "Dotty Dot":

We entered Riverside Park at 83rd Street and Riverside Drive:

Shots taken while waiting for the show to begin:

And then, finally, the show began:

After it was over, it was time to head home:

Nice one. This G seems to have more military look with the olive green. Casio did a really good job with the color schemes on the 7900 series. They all look great and it's tough to pick a favorite.

Alright quattrojames! Spoken like a true G' lover....

Kronos... Thanks for the great story, and even better photographs. It was nice to see something besides just a watch..... oops... did I say that? ha..ha..ha...

I'm loving that color you chose more everytime I see it. I'm about to be in big trouble, as I may end up with a mini collection of 7900's in every color...

    Cheers...

Argh... WHO SAID THIS FORUM IS FREE? (yes I know, I was yelling....)

Yup. Come on and join the insanity! I seem to have FOUR (!) 7900s and the atomic/solar versions have not yet hit my radar!

Really Cool! Thanks for sharing, can never see anything like that down here in the south, looks like a very colorful bunch! Would take alot of courage to pull off something like that, I know I couldn't do it. Glad to see the pics of the green 79, I just ordered that same one tonight, can't wait to get it in!!
Experience is what you end up with when you didn't get what you wanted.
