G-9100 and G-7900 same battery different life span

Hi guys... on the italian forum whe have a question unanswered....
the two watches...... G-9100 and G-7900 use same battery but the declared life span of it it's different in the two watches.....
why? the two watches does have the same function and aren't waveceptor...
so what's the reason of this different draining time of the same cr2025 battery in the two watch?
    any help will be appreciate

I guess that in reality there won't be that much difference. However the G-7900 has a much bigger display and therefore the EL uses more power probably. On the other hand the G-9100 has the dual illuminator which also uses a lot of juice. The G-9100 has less functions than the G-7900. In the end it's pure speculation on my part. I don't see why the battery in both watches shouldn't last about the same time .

Re: G-9100 and G-7900 same battery different life span

    I know - I immediately checked the specs .
    Some more differences:
    G-9100:
    - 1.5 or 3 sec illumination
    G-7900:
    - 3 or 5 sec

The reference section of the G-7900 states some really heavy use of the functions resulting in only 2 years of battery life:

20 sec of alarm operation with flash alert per day
one countdown operation per week with flash alert and progress beeper
one stopwatch operation per week with auto start and flash alert
5 seconds of illumnation per day

So I guess the 20 sec alarm with flash alert and 5 sec illumination shorten the battery life the most. Unfortunately the manual for the G-9100 doesn't have this part of the reference section.

I'm still checking the manuals for differences. One more:
G-9100 has only 10 sec alarm duration, G-7900 has 20 sec.
