    G-9200 discolouration advise

    Hi fellow members,
I just bought a 9200, and this unit has very bad discolouration. Need advise from the members any way to reduce the discolouration of the bezel n strap?

    Thanks for advise!

What color is that supposed to be (or was it originally?) Here's a list of the eight variations of that model, with pictures: Casio g9200 Parts and Accessories

If that was originally red and it's discolored that much, there's probably no simple way to reduce the discoloration and you'll probably need to replace the bezel and strap -- which for red resin probably means sending it to Casio. (It's not on Casio's famously incomplete list of "restricted parts" but Pacparts shows that it should be.)

If the resin is really the same sickly orange that it appears in those photos, you MIGHT be able to dye it red again, but there's no way to guarantee the results: https://www.google.com/search?q=site...utf-8&oe=utf-8

It would probably be easier and less expensive to either buy black resin from another G-9200 version, or attempt to dye the existing resin black.

Ya, thought of that... Is there any compatible Zulu strap for 9200?

Apparently the commonly-used Casio adapters will fit the 9200, but require a little modification: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/not...ne-165584.html

Then it's just a matter of picking the right strap (generally, NOT the sort with extra hardware and extra fabric flap): https://forums.watchuseek.com/f17/mar...on-462199.html

That website is a FANTASTIC resource, which is why I recommend it to people all over the world, even if they're not going to order anything.

"Search by model number," and the ease of "cross reference other models by just clicking on the part number" are both great features!

so you haven't had it in hands? it looks like the MEN IN RESCUE series, which is orange - how can it be red, only the orange is shiny like that, the red is not !

if it's red and in your hands, then, it's time to stop buying Gshock to spend money on a better cellphone
