G-9300GB band/strap and keeper is not carbon fiber

My g-9300gb band/strap and keeper is not carbon fiber it is just the same as the 1st gen g-9300. (It has a Tough Solar written to it instead of carbon fiber) Is it normal? Did they downgraded the strap? BTW I live in the Philippines and this is my 1st G shock but other than that I love the watch. And how to identify a fake G shock? Add info: I just got it 2 days ago and I have yet to ask the retailer about it. The price was $205. Thanks and more power.

Only the GW-9300 models have carbon fiber.

The G-9300 (non-atomic versions) do not

that is standard. you have the G9300. which is nonatomic. if you had the GW then it would have the CF strap.

*edit* Kung beat me to it!

Atomic version should have Multiband 5/6 written on the face instead of World Time.

Okay now is the keeper made of real carbon fiber or is it laminated carbon fiber? I would guess it to be the latter? Laminated Carbon Fiber?
