GWM5630D next to a pinhole viewer image of what the solar eclipse looks like in upstate NY. Tried to get the reflection on the display, too blinding:

    Re: G-clipse

Here are a few pics. Kind of underwhelming here near Baltimore. I thought the partial eclipse would be greater than it actually was. (that is, obscure more of the sun) Guess I'll have to try and see the next total eclipse in 2024! Looks like I might be able to get into the "path of totality" in NW PA!

A cool cloud formation while waiting...

Here's my G-clipse watch - about 4 minutes from the peak partial eclipse:

    My homemade pinhole camera:

And this is pretty much what I saw. I assume that little V-shaped thing on top is the moon going over the sun. When I looked thru here about an hour prior, I could actually see clouds thru this pinhole camera! Wish I had taken a photo of that:

My dog was happy to learn that I have not (yet) gone crazy, staring into a cereal box! AND an empty one, at that!!

Time4playnow, I know what you mean about the cereal box viewer, at one point besides the crescent shaped Sun, I could see clouds and even nearby trees on the image. Very cool. The kids loved it. We also did a no-no and looked at it directly for a couple seconds through 4 pairs of sunglasses.

Here are a few pics, although not great, from Middle TN. I put a lense from solar glasses on my cell phone camera. My son's school had a viewing for students and families. Wrist shot with watch and eclipse was impossible...

Encourage someone. The world has enough critics.

Camera artifacts make great pinhole viewers as well.
