G-Lide garage sale for $25... not bad eh? ...

Hi All- Just got back from a few garage sales in the area. The second to last had this The proverbial little old lady bought it for her grand son and he didn't like digital watches so it never got worn. DW-004VE-1V (module 2164). The strap is a THICK double strap inner velcro and outer heavy nylon.Been looking on the net and it looks like the type Bruce Willis wore in Tears of the Sun or so they say ?? Looks super bulky on the wrist.I'll probably save (change out) the original strap and put some plain black strap adapters on as well. Not a big fan of all that writing on them. Couldn't pass it by for $25 though. Happy Hunting -Ronbo

    A brilliant buy - congratulations!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Thanks :). This is the first time I have really looked for G-Shocks at these sales. Another reason I should kick myself lol!!

I've never found G-shocks in garage sales. I've looked too. All I've found are:
    1. junk no-name watches
    2. a leaky broken Timex ironman
    3. 1 used working casio sports watch for $15 (too much)
    4. $12 Fake rolex (I bought it)
    SPROING!!!!

(oops! Time for a new watch!)

I usually hit five to ten sales a week and have been doing so for over 15 years now. This is the first I recall seeing. I think being in California might help as some people have too much disposable cash ( and other things :) ) Cheers-Ronbo

If you are hitting 5 to 10 yard sales a week and if this is your first time seeing a G-Shock for sale at a yard sale, then it's not worth going to any yard sales. You are better off going to flea markets maybe instead.
