Thumbs Up The 'G-Rail' has arrived!

Well here it is! Ever since I became interested in 'G's this is the one that had me intrigued.

Have seen it around in picture form but never in the flesh and didn't think I would be likely to find one.

A few patient months scanning ebay and here it is, £25 and in damn good condition.

The strap retainer snapped off in the first few hours of wear ( damn you resin rot!) but I have replaced it with one from a spare strap.

The screen is flawless and with only minor scuffs on the bezel.

I'm sure many of you may find it ugly or too chunky but I'm pretty taken with it. Nice bizarre design that G-Shock is all about.

It's strange... but I like it. Good price too.

Does anyone have a link to an online manual for this?

The usual casio site doesn't have it and I can't find one!

    Model is DW-6400

    Module is 901

    Thanks

That pretty much sums it up! It's the same module as a 5600 after all!

Very nice. And quite frankly it's a classic look for a G-Shock. Congrats.

    Congratulations. Good price, too.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Wink Re: The 'G-Rail' has arrived!

    Hi Hoochy,

Great watch, great pictures. If I'm correct (I had an hour ago the same one in my hand) it's a 901 module. Kim has the old manual on-line here (many thanks to Kim and Casionerd!!!).

If you are looking for the meaning of the REM function. It's a bit a gadget function. It is the same as we say here: put a knot in your hankerchief if you want to remember someting... (the point is that you need to remember why you put the knot there).

I have quiet some retainers snapping of th DW-8300's. I also replaced them by other ones from spare straps.

    Wear in good health!

    Cheers,

    Sjors
