    G-shock 30 year anniversary

Do you think Casio is planning on a re-release of their flagship DW-5600C for next years 30 year anniversary? I know a couple of threads have discussed the possibility, and I think it would be great if they did. However I fear Casio may view their 25 year anniversary models as homage enough.

I'm pretty certain there'll be an anniversary screwback model.

At least one, but if I'm correct more. I expect not a 5600C of course, but a usual DW-5000 Team Tough.

Keep your eues open for the new August (JP) releases!

Sjors, do you think that they'll upgrade the module? Or will they keep it more like a 1545/3229 module to echo the feature set of the original?

Well, it's of course hypothetical, but I guess they will use tve new module that you find in the DW-5600 models, let me guess, aybe in an emission of 2013 pieces...

I have not heard about such model yet, but since there was a 10th, 20th and 25th anniversary model, I think one will be released every 5 years.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

I would love it if they did. I bought mine in 1989 and foolishly sold it in 2007. I did sell it for roughly 2X what I paid in 1989, but today would rather have the watch!

interesting point: one dollar in 1989 is worth about 1.85 today, you still made money because of the depreciation a used product has but I found the statistic interesting

Looks like I need to budget for more than one watch...
