G-shock after 15 years hard life & new bezel.

    My dad's G-shock worn for jobs/DIY - painting,plumbing etc.

Not a popular choice here but my dad had no need for the lcd really & only ever used the hands. My mum bought him the watch a couple of years after he got me a DW002 as I was working as a delivery driver & he thought it would take some abuse. My mum saw he liked it and so bought him this one.

Great story. Always a treat to see a battered G given some new clothes.

Nice to read this and see that you overhauled the watch and gave it some new clothes.

    Good job.

That is a nice basic ana-digi G. When I moved to Japan in 2003, I saw that model in a mall store. It was listed at 9900Yen or near $100.00. For years after I would check the price and it stayed the same until this year!!!! Now I see it is priced at around 5300Yen or $50.00! Japan very seldom marks watches down from the original price. Amazing little watch your Dad has!

I'm living the same experience. My dad left me this same watch as you can see it in the picture "naked"... And has been waiting in a drawer, for the time I could find a replacement of the "bezel" (should I call the rubber part that protects it, that way?). Anyway, congrats for the work, would you mind giving me some advice as to where can I find the replacement? Thanks!

I love watches with a lot of sentimental value. Adds character to the watch IMHO.

    Hi

I bought the bezel a couple of years ago direct from Casio uk - to make up another order and I knew he would need it eventually.

Your location states Florida, When in the states order from PacParts.com
The bezel is $7.00. They charge around $4.95 for shipping on small items. More items can bump it to $10 or $12 I think. The site shows the bezel not in stock. Do not worry, PacParts waits for an order to come in, then they order from Casio. It can take a week, sometimes weeks to receive your order. They are good and have never let anyone of here on WUS down. Total outlay is around $12.

You can also order from eBay. As you see many sellers offer the bezel. They have them in stock and ship right away but you pay a high price. The cheapest I see is $17.58 with free shipping.

If time is not critical then order from PacParts and save money.

    Have a good day
