    G-Shock BPM

Anyone had any experience of this? As a drummer, would it be any use to me as a metronome?

    Thanks.

    Hi Smart,

I doubt that any metronome would help a drummer, except for a headphone clicktrack/metronome, since drums are very loud compared to the little beeps. I believe they only last for one minute too.

As a electronic musician I regularly used a Beat&BPM model for adjusting beats when sampling. The BPM model in your picture has increments of 5 bmp, the Beat and BPM has a precision of 1 BPM and has proven to be very precise for my needs.

This model (released February 1999) was called Glowing Fan in Germany and is from the Tough Label "Old School" series. The "New School" series had the DWM-101 models ("Rap Station"), which share the same module as your attatched DW-003 Tough Label BPM.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

    Wink Re: G-Shock BPM

The BPM models measure Beats per Minute, which can be everything with a bit steady rythm, music, heart beats. The fists BPM have a 5 bpm increments, which is a bit too rough for music purpose, but the Beat and BPM series have a 1BPM increment, which is close enough for adjusting rythms on samples and computers (or mixing records, etc. I remember I took my first BPM model out to I Love Techno 2001 and measured BPM in all halls, from every DJ!

    Ha Ha,

No Frank, it doesn't. You have to put in the beats manually. There is also a metronome function on those watches btw.

    Re: G-Shock BPM

    oh, how i get it

    its the other way around

the watch shows you the BPM that you've entered

not the watch showing you showing you what it "heard", right? :-D
