Which G-Shock to bring to the beach

I am heading to Punta Cana this coming Saturday and I am trying to decide on which G I should wear. I have narrowed it down to the GWF1000 atomic Frog and the king GX56. I will be doing some diving as well and realize that the Frog is better suited for such an environment but am worried about scratching it. Should I just go ahead and beat on it like my other G's or baby it? I have a healthy supply of spare parts for the GWF stock piled. Just looking to be pushed over the edge

You're worried about scratching the G-SHOCK? Ridiculous. If you will get some dirt or mud, take king with you as it's mud resistant and of course water resistant.
    Peace
    Have a great day!

If you have a Gulfman then that would be my 1st choice. Salt water is not a good fit for Stainless Steel. Any G is better suited for diving though. The Frogs are just certified and others aren't which is not a big deal because many tried other Gs as diver watches and never had any problems. If you are deciding between the King and the Frog, I would go with Frog. The choice is yours...

From the sound of it, I would definitely choose the King in your situation because you will have more fun on your trip that way. The whole point of a G-Shock is knowing that it can take whatever you can dish out, without reservations. If you are worried about scratching the Frogman the whole time you are at the beach, you will have more fun with the King...and isn't having fun the whole point? BTW, the GX56 is awesome. Nice collection you have there.

(I do the same thing when I go on vacation...I take my GX56 so I don't scratch my 16600 Sea Dweller!)

I'd take both, Frog for the beach, and KING for nightlife / casinos.

Beach? All those grains of sand? Mud-Resist all the way. Wear the King and rinse it off afterward.

Do not own a Frogman, just too expensive and way too big for my wrist, but I if I had to choose: A Frogman! Man, the beach and the sea, that's the home of a Frogman.
