    G-shock for construction worker

I got my brother in law a Fossil a few years ago for Christmas. Crystal cracked unfortunately, but oh well.
He never wore it at work. But he's an outdoors kind of guy so I want to get him something durable he can wear camping and whatever, and also to work and wherever, essentially.
I really dig the analog G-shock watches and found this one:
    AWG101-1A

    Picture taken from google images.

Curious if these analog G-shocks retain the reputation for durability that would go well with a person who does a lot of physical labour and activity?
    Thanks!

Or if you could recommend a different but similar model that you feel is better?

If he likes the analog-digital combo, this one is the way to go. Otherwise, I'd consider the 6900 series (you can get one with solar and multiband atomic timekeeping just like this one) or the riseman which could help with weather forecasting while hiking/on the job. If you're willing to spend more, there is also the pathfinder series that adds a compass.

    Yes, they do.

Casio Pathfinder/Protrek's more recent models are Analog/Digital.
