    G-Shock G7900 or other?

    Hey there
I am considering buying a new watch, actually it will be my first.
I am looking for 2 watches, the first will be for an everyday use, and because that i will be a soldier, i am looking for somthing resistant,
so i thought about the g shock G7900. My hand wrist is 6.7", and 53mm width.
The G7900 will fit properly to my wrist or shall i consider another g shock?
About the second one, do you have any suggestions for a "formal" first watch? I'm 17 yo, so i am looking for something that will be elegant but not old.

    Thanks a lot :)

The 7900 is a great looking watch but it might be right on the limit for you size wise so be sure to try it on. As for a formal watch I usually can't resist recommending an Orient Bambino but in your case I would go for a normal quartz watch that can be kept locked up with your personal gear and just thrown on when you want to dress up a bit.

Hard to say on the watch size for wrist size - it really depends on your wrist and the watch design. Best to try as many watches as you can. As for the g-shock you could look at Riseman as they wear a little smaller.

If you want to stick with the G-shocks I've always thought my AWGM100F-1C can pose as a more formal watch. The analog styling look kind of nice but taste is always subjective,

The major problem is that i will recruit the army, and i will need a digital watch :(
this is why i am considering buying a G shovk (digital) and a formal watch.
btw, i liked the Danuel Wellington, Is it recommended? Or the tissot PRC 200 (White on the inside and brown leather stripes) how about that?
Do you have any suggestion for a formal watch / digital G shock for me?
    Thanks a lot

I'd check out the GW6900. Solar, atomic and a little lower profile. It's an excellent watch.

The 7900 fits my 7" wrist just fine. It's my daily watch. My watch in the army was a simple 5600. Depending on your MOS you'll find the 'moon age' function more useful than the tide graph.

I agree with the above comment about a lower profile being useful.
