G-SHOCK GWG 1000 MudMaster Dead Battery???

    Hi

    Just after some advice guys

I've been offered the above watch with a so called dead battery

The guy said it stopped a day ago hence the sale

Do they suffer with dead battery's or battery problems or does it need sun to charge it?

    Any advice would be great

    Thanks

Ps what's the going rate for a MudMaster in the above condition in the UK

Place the watch directly under a strong light source for a couple of hours. If you can see the digits slowly appear then the battery is ok.

In the worse case you can replace the rechargeable battery with a new one. It's not the regular battery you can buy on the street but it can be found online.

its still a gamble because even if it fires up there might be other issues with it, you just have to trust the info from the seller. get it cheap enough that you can at least part it out to recoup costs
but be careful not to give him too many clues, he might wise up and realise all he needs to do is put it in the sun haha

Make sure it's not a fake first. You don't wanna get a watch that's both fake and dead.

Thanks for the replies how can I check it's not fake? Does £150 sound fair?

    Thanks

At that price, I’d say definitely worth the gamble. The pics provided look authentic to me, but allow time for some others to confirm.

    Thanks for the replies guys

For the price I think it is worth the risk to be honest

It looks genuine to me but as my new to G-Shocks what do I know

Can anyone confirm that it's real?

    Thanks

For that sort of money take a punt on it. Don’t expect it to spring into life as soon as it sees daylight - the sunshine in the U.K. at present is pretty lacking in watchy goodness.
