    A g-shock with heart rate?

    Hey all,

I'm really leaning towards a G-Shock G300, but I'd really like a heart rate monitor.

Are there any G-Shocks or Casio's that are analog/digital + heart-rate monitor? I've been searching all night with no luck :(.

    Thanks!

    P.S.
Anyone thinking of selling their G300? PM me.

As far as I know, there are no casio analog/digital combo watches with pulse or heart rate monitor.

Closest you will come to would be something like this:

    OR

    Both are out of production.

The only HRM G-Shock released was the Lungman. I actually wouldn't recommend that watch. Measuring the heart rate with a fingerprint is pretty inaccurate. If you want a good HRM, I would rather suggest a Polar or Garmin (including GPS). I use a VDO HRM, that is intergrated in my bike computer.

Not a g-shock but needed this as I am under a Cardiologist at present and check BP and pulse every day.
Saw this in my local Lidl supermarket and as I suffer from Arythmia (rapid pulse syndrome) I check my heart rate (pulse) periodically through the day.

This cost £12.95 and uses finger and thumb reader (above and below the dial face).
I've checked this against my medical BP monitor and it is spot on for accuracy, which amazed me.
But is is quick accurate and saves time connecting up the bigger monitor.

    This from Crane Sports.

AND it tells the time, day, date, month, stopwatch, timer etc.
    Can't be bad......and affordable...

Thats actually pretty smart! Did you buy that recently? Is it a metal case or is that plastic effect?

    Got it today.
It appears, feels and sounds like, brushed metal fronted on a black composite case, with steel pressed back (held by 4 x corner screws, very like my little Casios).
Nice quality black flexible rubber strap with stainless buckle.
Buttons have rather neat patterned non slip tops (you can just see that on the picture on 8 oclock one if you look carefully).
It's also water resistant to 5 atm.
All in all surprisingly good and the digits are beautifully articulated with a really decent crystal display with good contrast.

I can post some better photos tomorrow if that helps.

    Thanks for that.

Also I'm not a fan of the programme but for some reason I think of Battlestar Galactica when I see that watch!

Some more photos would be good if you have the time.

my suggestion is get the G300 and then get a cheap pular or timex HRM

that's still cheaper than a lungman (if you can find one and its not analog/digital)

Hoochy - Here are 3 pics taken today.
The watch by the way is 42mm diameter, so not so big and bout 13mm depth.
But as a pulse checker, very good, easy to use. Simply press a finger and thumb over the two sensors above and below the face - it then beeps, takes a reading over about 5 secs and displays the heart rate. It also records the data under a selectable user.
