Question A G-Shock that looks like a Submariner?

I have a submariner but I no longer enjoy wearing all metal watches. I prefer the durability, less weight, and accuracy of the Gs. Plus, I do not have to cringe anytime my watch hits the side of a door or table. At my age, I enjoy an "all lifestyle" watch that I can wear to work, the gym, and in the yard without having to take it off.

Is there a G shock that looks remotely like a submariner?

    Thanks for the help.

I can't think of a G-Shock that looks like a Sub but There is a Casio divers model which has a similar kind of look and it's quite cheap (about $60-$70) so you won't have to worry when it gets dinged up. The model number is MDV106D-1A but you be the judge of whether it looks anything like a Sub.

The Casio divers can take a lot of abuse but obviously not as much as a G-Shock.

Maybe this isn't what your looking for cause it's no g shock.

but you could take a look at these:
    Ice-Watch - Sili Forever - Black - Unisex

I got a few of them, an the do the job nicely I must say. These definitely resemble subs, are lightweight and can take a nudge here and there..

no current g-shock has a rotating bezel but here are some all analogs with no bracelets, except the first one, but it is available with a resin strap. The mtg appears to be a metal bracelet but it is a resin/metal combo. I did not mention the analog/digitals

if you want a rotating bezel the wademan is your only choice I believe but it is a tank and not something I would wear everywhere hahaha.

I would also suggest the A1000.

    +1

... and you won't need a diver's bezel with it. The GW-A1000 has a timer and stopwatch with flyback function and preprogrammed time zones you can swap to as you please and that's just to start. Functionally, its the Sub, GMT master and Explorer 2 all rolled into one and then some!

As for looks, well you already have a rollie sub - the classic quintessential black bezel diver that everyone copies but no one matches. Why get another to look like it? Just my 0.2 cents...

G-Shocks can definitely take a good ding here and there...

    thanks for the suggestions.

i like the gw-a1000 but i wanted a bezel of sorts. g shock should make a tough movement diver with a bezel. from what i understand, the stopwatch on the tough movements are short right?

Not really. Depending on the model/module the SW can go from 60 minutes to 24 hours.
    Cheers!
