    Good points, though if you an get it to sync once in a while (on nights off, perhaps) it's probably good enough.

    My wife is an RN and needs to use an analog watch with a second hand which, unfortunately, is a pretty rare feature in G-Shocks. I ended up buying her an Orient Mako and she likes it. There are some non-G analog Casios that would work well if quartz is preferred.

    My wife works with several nurse practitioners and at least 3 of them have gshocks. All 3 wear a G-9000 mudman which comes in several different colors, poistive displays, long-lasting battery, ad exceptional dirt and fluid resistance. Also can be had on ebay from trusted sellers for around 70 bucks.

    Thanks Everyone for all the suggestions! Bought two watches today! I purchased the famous Seiko Orange Monster and GW3500 Aviation. My xmas presents to myself.
