    G-Shock MTGS1000D-1A Question

    Hello All,

New guy here. I recently purchased the mtgs1000d-1A and love it. I have one question regarding the bracelet latch area. If I rotate my wrist for whatever reason there is a metal clinging sound. It's coming from the black cut outs in the latch area. They seem to float loosely and cling when the watch is rotated. It's not really a big deal, I more so wanted to make sure it's normal and I didn't screw anything up when I re-sized the links. Thanks in advance!

I had this watch and sold it last year.

I remember sizing the bracelet. It has a pin & collar system (like my Seiko dive watches). Google around for pics searching for "pin & collar" bracelet sizing.

It is very important that the tiny collars are not lost when resizing the bracelet since they are responsible for securing the pins to the links. I don't remember hearing any knocks near the clasp, but it's been over a year since I sold mine. Maybe show some pics with an arrow pointing where the noisy area comes from.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. No issue on the bracelet re-sizing. Below is a picture, the 2 black cut outs float loosely and when rotating my wrist they knock against the metal inside the clasp. I just wan't to make sure these black pieces are supposed to move. Thanks!

I was just about wondering the same thing. I have the same loose spinning cover around the bolts attaching the bracelet to the watch, which makes 2 of us, seems like thats normal :)

One another question I have tho; how do you get the backlight working?
None of the buttons seem to get the backlight to come up.

Our MTG S1000D does not have a backlight. The lume is pretty good, however.

    We trudge on.
