    G-Shock Travels/Manhattan: December 11 - 12, 2009 - Part II

In one of the previous threads, there was some discussion about the Apthrop, one of the grand buildings with courtyards on the Upper West Side. I passed by it, so here are some shots:

Here is is viewed from across Broadway:

"Golden Sound" Electronics on Broadway between 78th and 79th, has a some G-Shocks and good selection of Timexes as well. They will sometimes match prices from the usual suspects online -- IF you know those prices.

I almost went in to browse and maybe take some shots for you guys. I'm sure the proprietor would have liked it. But I was afraid I would buy something and I already had some watches incoming. (As it turns out my yellow GW-7900 was waiting for me at home; I'm glad I didn't indulge further just then.)

Very cool, I think I passed by just a few days ago myself. Thanks for sharing the great shots.

Greetings Kronos, I'm enjoying your NYC photos a lot!!

I grew up on the East side, but the first Chinese restaurant I remember was on B'way just off 79th on the east side of the street, can't remember the name and it probably is long gone.

    Regards, Konrad.

Thanks. I'm trying to decide if I can take a day and do a bit of the more touristy -- New York. Lincoln Center, the Empire State Building, the Staten Island Ferry, Rockefeller Center, etc. I'm not sure if I can, but I would like to before sending the watch off to the next recipient.

    I think you should

As someone who has never been to NY that would be fascinating

Yes please, and more of your 'shoot from the hip' style.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...
