G-Shock Watch that is atomic, but is not solar?

I don't wear my watches frequently enough, so I don't like the solar charging feature of watches. But, I do like the idea of an atomic watch because I dislike that my g-shock drifts 20 seconds a month. Does Casio make an atomic g-shock that is not solar? If so, what acryonym prefix do they use to identify these watches? (ie DW vs GW vs GLX, etc...)? I tried googling around the answer, but had no luck...

Maybe the GW-100 Antman, but someone needs to confirm this. I would point out that if you don't wear it for 2-3 months the charge will still be fine. And if you keep them in a case with glass or see through crystal it will keep charging itself.

Agree with Fer....if you do find an non-solar atomic, please post what it is in this thread. But just to add to Fer's point, your solar g-shocks don't really need much wrist time at all to keep their charge. All that you would have to do it maybe put it next to the window sill for a couple hours maybe 2 or 3 times per year.

Thanks, helpful. I live in a cave of an apt, but sounds like the solar requirements are low. Still have not found a non-solar atomic.

would it be stupid to suggest that you use a regular battery to replace the solar-one ?

You might have to disable the charging capabilities of the solar panel though. Charging a non rechargeable battery might not be a good idea.

That is not recommended. You can even charge it with light in your room it just takes much longer.

I'm guessing here, but perhaps atomic is always paired with solar because a regular battery will drain too fast? I don't think owners will be too pleased if they have to change a regular battery every half year or so due to the auto-sync function kicking in every day.

Casio Men's WV200DA-1A Waveceptor Sports Watch. Not a G-Shock but automic only with battery, not solar. I have one of these and like it just fine. Does its WWV atomic sync thing regularly at midnight while sitting on a desk near a window. I'm hard on watches...smacking my wrist into walls, rocks while hiking, shocks through handlebars mountain biking and occasionally dropping...so I'd have to say mine has shown resistance to a variety of impact shocks even though it's NOT A G-SHOCK!
