Hello Ecalzo,

I believe it's real. I know there was a blue basic G-2000 version. The layout seems OK. Check if there is a little triangle in on top of the eye. Check if the date digits are like this picture and not very skinny.

Cheers,

Sjors
Wow that is a great looking watch!!! How rare, and how much do these costs? I'm guessing pretty rare a pricey if there are that many counterfeits out there?

Hi MarkMUK
I mean if it was a real g-2000 or not...
this was my original question..
but no one replyed to me...

except for tribe125 that said what i was thinking in my mind...
and sjors that helped me remembering that it was a basic
model matching the picture posted by me.....
:-s

For payement method and other thing we saw it was some scammers on the WUS forum too ..... in the past...
only one or two time in many years but it was...

People that buy and sell watches on the private seller section
buy and sell watches trusting on the honestly of the other people...

I made the same in this recent acquire and i paid by paypal that does
have a protection system...
So i think i will not have trouble...
I hope...
If my thought was wrong i will let you know guys.......

i thank you so much for your reply my friends...
i'm so sorry if you are looking at the auction that was stopped..
I asked to the seller if it will be a buy it now price or not and
if it will be a known final price for the watch.......
After one day he replyed to me that i will have to follow the
auction or to make an offer,,,
so...
i replyed to him my offer and after another day he sent me
the invoice to buy the watch....
That's all.....

When the watch will be here i will give to you better pictures
and if you still want it i will sell to you and we can trade the price...

I'm saying this word honestly 100%...my friends....
:-!
If you're interested about the watch i bought and that it's coming to my home give me a PM and we can talk about it....

Sorry for my bad english.....

Don't be sorry it happens, I have even won and paid for an item only to be told a cat has broken the watch...mmm ok if you say so, it had nothing to do with the fact that your 'rare' watch was only bid on by me? :rodekaart

Again this is fine, you just offered too much In my honest opinion

When the watch will be here i will give to you better pictures

Thank you for the offer but since I think you paid too much any discussion would involve me giving a price a lot less than you paid. so you keep the watch and wear it in good health |>

Sorry for my bad english.....
It is fine. There are many of this forum for whom english is not their first language and you constructed your post way better than I ever could in your native tongue. Some native english speakers have difficulty making themselves understood ;-) I only posted that your thread was difficult to understand as I wasn't entirely sure that you had understood what I had said...it's all good |>

Thanks a lot for your words..my friend...
I'm sorry for the things happened to you,a member
of WUS forum...

If i had known that a WUS member was looking at
the watch i didn't make a private offer to the guy
that was selling it...

For the price there's no problem...
Just let me know "by private message"
your offer and i will surely consider it ....
i will see your price and i will let you know my decision...
Maybe you will be surprised... try..

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time, but I believe you may have a fake there. The way the cutout for the time doesn't go back up on the top left corner (near the bottom of the circle) I have read is an indication of a fake. Compare the picture side by side with Sjors and you should see it. The date window looks a little off also.

Ecalzo...

I'm so sorry I didn't see this thread sooner...o|

:rodekaart:rodekaart:rodekaart

What is the name of the ebayer that sold it to you?!?!

That looks exactly like the watch I bought from ebay, and then had major problems from the seller.

I noticed the thin digits, and the scratched ring in the back of the case (on the inside). The scratched ring is because one of the tabs that contacts the caseback was all bent up. Also, the 'eye' in the one sent to me did not line up with the opening in the face, plus the date portion is hard to see becuase it's too close to the horizontal divider.

I'll bet if you take off the straps, the springbars will be quite bent. Also, look at the back of the lugs with the caseback off. Does there look to be like a type of corrosion (almost like brass corrodes) on/near one of the lugs?

You can see my original thread about the 'jerk' (to put it very lightly) here.

ecalzo, what was the name of the seller on ebay?

Take the straps off too, I'm interested to see if the springbars are bent. And the buckle, was the buckle really 'floppy'?

This is a very bad seller if it's the same watch!

ecalzo, what was the name of the seller on ebay?
i remember something like iamsam or similar..
because like i told you at the beginning of the thread i saw it on
the bay but after the sell was done and finished out of the bay....
so the auction was removed and i forget to write down the name...
Sorry....

Take the straps off too, I'm interested to see if the springbars are bent. And the buckle, was the buckle really 'floppy'?

the springbars aren't bent if you are meaning curved...
but they're very little inside the hole in the strap..
they would come of very fast from the hole in the strap....
but the buckle isn't so floppy..

Now at the end i hope that my thread and my pictures will help some of you guys......
;-)

Good morning Ecalzo,

This is the hardest fake G-2000 there is. The layout is good copied, so unsharp photo's make it appear as a real model. Bummer.

On this model the triangle above the eye is the best way to examen if this watch is real. The real one has a small raised triangle on top of the eye. I know the digits on the real one are thicker, but when seen a picture alone it's hard to see.

Cheers,

Sjors
