i think only the inner bezel and EL button are the major difference (shinny vs not shinny)

the rest is pretty much the same

Hello there both are some what the same but have differences though.I will list them

    G2310
    1. inner bezel is metal(insted of plastic)
    2. has WR listed as 20Bar
    3 light button is metal

    G2300
    1. inner bezel is plastic
2 has WR listed as 200m
    3. Light button is plastic

G2300B is the same as the G2300 but adds a darker plastic inner bezel and nylon strap

20bar and 200m is the same but 20bar is of more intrest to collectors becasue it could mean japan market

now the G2300(the black an yellow letters) and the G2310(blue with yellow letters) have a "dayglo" type set up where the thing behind the LCD is gold so it allow the wearer to read it better in low light area's with out useing the EL

All G2300/2310's are great so good luck with buying one

    Cheers
    Leon

    Re: G2300 vs. G2310

Thanks for the info guys! I went to Wally World last night looking for a replacement Leatherman. They don't carry the Charge Xti I was looking for so I lost out there. They did, however, have a G2300 on sale for $45. I had read about these watches here but had never seen one. One of my GW500's bit the dust so I was looking for a replacement. (as much as I love my Frogs I won't beat them up at work) The 2300 smokes the 500 on features and build quality. Same feature set as my Raysman 1803 module (+ world time), same ML-2016 storage battery the frogs have, (the rays have a ML-2020, the 300's and 500's have a ML-1616 which seem to have a much higher failure rate than the others). After the 25 story drop test, I doubt I'll have to baby this one. It 's non-atomic but I'm more than happy to give that up for the features it does have. In my opinion, it's one of the best G's on the US market right now. Wally World was out of the 2310 but I think this one will be just fine. MH

Ive always said that in my opinion, the module in the 23x0 models is the best, all around, practical feature packed modules made...

    Module: 2184

    Nope it is metal

I thought it was shiny plastic too until last spring I was digging in the garden and afterwords i discovered that dirt and crud were caught between the bezel and buttons. I removed the bezel and the inner bezel dropped to the floor with a prononced matalic ring, (sort of the sound I got when I dropped a metal seiko SKX007 bezel) As for the button I can only assume that it is metal too I did not try to remove it but saw the unfinished undersides and it had that dull metal look so I make the assumption that the light button is metal too.

So while i am 100% sure the inner bezel is metal, I can not say with 100% certianty that the light button is metal.

    Cheers

P.S I back up Jeff C when he says the module is the best as it is the best
