    G5500 stopwatch function

So I finally broke down and ordered a G5500. I am looking forward to getting it, but I was reading the specs on the casio website, and they say that the stopwatch only goes to 60 minutes? Can anyone confirm that their g5500 stopwatch does not go past 60 minutes? This seems kind of strange if it is true.
Does the atomic model go any longer?
    thanks,
    Colin

Yep, the stopwatch goes really only 59,59,99. Dont know how it is with the atomic.

Only up to 59:59:99 for both the atomic and the non-atomic 5500.
I'm guessing that they think a 60min CT is more than enough.
Anything longer than that, alarms may be used instead...

My GW-5500 (the atomic one) has an hour indicator on the stopwatch. I'm pretty sure it goes up to 24h. It definitely goes to more than an hour.

Edit: Ah, you're talking about the CDT. The question was about the stopwatch, not the CDT.

As you can see on my GW-5500-1JF the stopwatch has an hour indicator in the top right display.

    Hope this helps

This confused me as well for awhile. The regular G5500 (non-solar and solar) have a smaller stopwatch (1hr). The atomic/solar GW5500 has a 24hr stopwatch.

defenitely THE weak point of the g5500 is the 1 hour stpw and cdt. i also realized it too late, when i wanted to countdown a 2 hour bus trip going from A to B
but i think even if i knew it i would have bought that classic black/red buttons nerd watch

Sure is. I had no idea the stopwatch was only 60 min. Not good at all...
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Re: G5500 stopwatch function

Is time maby visible in stopwatch and timer mode on g5500?

This is usually the explanation for stopwatch that goes only until 59:99... no place to put the "hour" marker if second part of the display is covered with "current time"...

You're right, I did mix them up
Without my morning coffee, I can't seem to function properly
