    G7900 Rescue vs. G9100 Gulfman

I'm wanting to get a G-Shock with moon/tide function and am looking either the G7900 Rescue or G9100 Gulfman. Other than price (which is only about $25), how much difference is there between the two?

Recommend the Gulfman with a positive display. It is just slightly smaller and has lighter titanium back, which may explain the price difference. Gulfman also has a double tang buckle and no fake screws. You have the luxury of choice which is great.

Also the 7900 is a larger watch, which can be a plus or a minus depending on your preference.

In the Gulfman's favor is that it is a Master of G with a higher build quality (don't worry, the 7900 is still G Shock tough!) And Titanium back plate and screws for corrosion resistance.

I'm guessing the 7900 is the less expensive watch and I believe they share the same module.

I really want to like the gulfman, but it was too small for my tastes. I have mostly larger G's so when I bought the 9100, it felt tiny and had to return it. I wish it were just a few mm bigger.

Gulfman also uses screws to connect the strap to the case, whereas the 7900 uses spring bars - it's not that important until you get into a fight, LOLz, 2 or 3 times that I had my G's (on spring bars) flying while bunching LOLz

Just purchased a GR-9110ER-2D. I liked the blue/grey color combo and the fact that it's solar-charged. It's going to be my primary dive watch, so the fact it's titanium is a plus. Thanks everyone for all the tips and advice!

if youre looking for moon and tide...i recommend g7900 because the moon and tide display are bigger so you can read it easily

Just got my GR-9110ER-2D today and I realized that I had forgotten to take a look at the size specs before ordering. I´m not blessed with big wrists which is good on one hand, because I won´t spend rediculous cash on a GPW Aviator, and bad on the other, because I can´t spend rediculous amounts on "The Beast" ... but the Gulfman ... I wish it would be bigger and I´m not sure if I will keep it. Although I like the color combo on this one and the anchor on the lighted display. Mhhhh not sure ...
