G9000 Military Mudman Bezel + Grey Nail Polish

The military Mudman is just too black for my liking. The round-ness of the bezel is lost in the sea of black resin.

I stole my wife's "favorite" nailpolish and went to town.

Now if I could only find someone who'd trade me for a positive display.

Is nail polish as good as using miniature cars/trains/planes paint? I would assume the latter to 'stick' better but no idea if this is true (and/or necessary in the first place).

With a wife and daughters, nail polish in ample colors is cheap and easy to acquire. Works well, easy clean up.

    Looks GREAT!

So, how do you go about the process? How did you get the results so clean?

I have a divers watch that has lost most of the black paint in the numerals on its stainless steel bezel, would nail polish work here also?

Also, dab it into the letters to get all the nooks and crannies.

    1) Apply liberal amounts of nail polish over the lettering.

    2) Use a plastic spoon to scrape away any excess nail polish.

    3) Let it dry for about 30 minutes.

    4) Apply a bit of acetone to a Q-Tip and gently rub the remaining nail polish away.

    5) Wash with Dawn and hot water to remove acetone residue.
