G9000 Mudman stopwatch & timer range? / Should I really get one?

    Hey guys.

I'm considering buying a G9000 Mudman. But I'm slightly confused as to the range of both the stopwatch & timer.

Some sites & Casio Europe say the stopwatch has a 1000 hour range and the timer 24 hours. This is confirmed by the manual.

But a *lot* of other sites like Amazon claims it's only a 60 minute stopwatch, but agree on the 24 hour timer range.

So my question to owners is: are both stopwatches really 1000 hours?

Any general opinions are very much appreciated as well. Seems like a great model to me with its toughness & features, but owner opinions are always appreciated.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Bjorn,

If you like red, you can find the TLC Muddie in the US, which is (IMHO) awesome. Got it from the US to the Netherlands in 4 days a week ago

Don't worry about the stopwatch and timer. There are even 2 1000h stopwatches!

    Groetjen uit Middelburg,

    Sjors

    Thanks Arno, that certainly helps

Wow, 1000 hours... that's slightly less then 42 days. I wonder who'd ever need such a lengthy stopwatch. Perhaps if you're timing the movement of glaciers or something, but I certainly couldn't think of any sporting/racing event that'd require that kind of range -- in two independent stopwatches no less

    Sjors,

Yeah, I saw the red one, but it's not exactly... subtle. I can pretty much wear what I like with my job, but wearing something bright red the size of a manhole cover would certainly attract attention :D

    So... basic black it is.

You mean the forest green one with the negative display, or another neon green model? Yeah, I've seen the first one. Green isn't exactly my color, and the negative display is probably a ..... to read on this model.

Check out www.buysaleitems.com they have them at a very reasonable price. I got the green with negative display looks very stealthy

    Hi Bjorn,

The Green camo is very beautifull. I got mine from here. Very clear display, very good to read! I recently got a remark from someone about the cream mudman (sam display color), that the watch is also very good readable in very bright sunlight (there I already found out that the display is good readable in very dim light too).

    Cheers,

    Sjors
