    GA-100-42 ?

Was just checking some sites for good deals. Came across this GA-100

Something didn't look right, mainly the g-shock on the top, lettering doesn't look correct
You cant see the model number on the picture of the back

. Checked google and noticed a few other things were off. But then I came across this and was really confused. I've never seen g-shockfactory but assuming they are fakes?
So I checked out the faq and came across the very first question
" Are your watches authentic/original? Our watches are class AAA 1:1 reproductions hence the cheaper price but looks and works the same except for some major functions such as a Compass or Tide Watch if which included would make our watches impossible to sell at such low prices."
How can they call them a g-shock if they are reproductions and clearly state they are?
Sorry I was confused and haven't seen such a good fake with my own eyes.

That heavyhanded dial cross hatching really stands out.

Too expensive to put a tide or other high end function means it's a barrier against cloning. Good.

Thats what I don't get, they put it right on the faq that none of their watches have the functions of the higher end gs. But how do they call it a g-shock and sell it as such

Because they are criminals based in foreign countries and out of reach of Law Enforcement that would want to stop them. Customs really can't touch them on a single item coming into the US, only if they had a large quantity here could a raid happen.

Well I think I'm going to make a comment on the product as the person selling has the original price listed as $118.
Looking more at their products for sale, the gf thinks most of the other stuff is fake as well.

Anyone who think LE is only good in US is a frog in the well. There are busts for counterfeiting in South East Asia. The problem is, it's widespread, couple busts are not enough.

Also counterfeit manufacturers often have gang associations or corrupted authorities in the take. Their manufacturing facilities are either well hidden or share the same warehouse as legitimate businesses. Busting couple of small mom & pop sellers, whose livelihood are depending on selling some goods in the street, is useless. Need to go after the source!

Also fake watches are not immediate danger to public health, so authorities often don't take as serious as fake meds.
