    Ga-100

Is there a solar-powered equivalent to the GA-100 series of Casio watches?

    Afraid not.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Don't get stuck in the got to have Atomic / Solar group There are too many great watches and G Shocks that are not solar or atomic, you benefit normally with more functions Its very easy and cheap to change a battery. I like atomic and solar but will not limit myself saying my watches must have those features.

I was headed for an atomic/solar as my first G but then the GA-100 came along and that was that! :)

Which atomic/solar model were you considering previously?

If I can choose between a solar/non-solar, I would go for the non-solar. Would prove to be easier (and perhaps cheaper) when changing batteries in the future.

    Re: Ga-100

Well, hopefully we'll soon see the GA-100 Solar powered timepieces. I believe it is a part of CASIO's selling strategy. They lure us G-Shockers with new design, then add some features on the released models, after that bring in some new color schemes :) ...

I like the size and the wide bracelet on the GA-100 though - looks powerful.

I certainly wouldn't drop away from the Solar feature - it is just great. But the Atomic is still an obvious overkill.

    Regards, XoLo
