    GA-100 With no Tin?

    Hi Guys,

    First time poster :P

I just got my first G, GA-100-1A1 from ebay for around $100.
Item arrived today but it was in a simple G shock cardboard box, no tin like I have seen time and time again online.

Are all GA-100's meant to come with tin boxes?

    Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum!
It's really up to the seller how he orders the watches from Casio and in which packaging. I really don't care anymore about tins as I have a huge cardboardbox full of them - which will happen to you too in no time if you keep visiting this forum .
I often had the little black boxes (sometimes also blue) when ordering from Asian sellers from Hong-Kong or Singapore. So it might also have to do with different markets. When buying in a brick and mortar store in Germany you can call yourself lucky if you get a tin or the correct packaging at all - I've bought G-Shocks in Baby-G tins or Edifice boxes.

    Thanks mate, really appreciate it.

Was worried it was a fake because of the box.. So nothing to worry about..

I don't think so - but if you're still worried you can take a pic and post it so we can have a look. Most Casio fakes are spotted fairly easily however - the quality is really bad most of the time.
