I just took delivery of my third GA-110 and to my dismay I have found that it doesn't make any sounds at all.
Is there a silent mode or a way that ALL the sounds including alarms, timers, and all beeps could have been inadvertently turned off?
Thanks in advance for your help
Ironically, if any G Shock did have a 'silent' feature, it would make a very popular 'military' watch. The last thing you want on ops is for a beep, or a forgotten alarm to go off - any phone made in the last 15 years can go into 'silent' mode, but I'm afraid Casio still have not learned how to do it... Hope you get yours sorted soon.

If you manage to open the back I'm confident you will easily see what is the spring, and then it's just a matter of checking it's making contact with back plate.
    Cheers!

Sure they have (I'm sure you just forgot ):
    G(L)-7500/7510
    GD-350
    W-735H
    GW-400 Silencer
    A-220W Futurist
    LDF-10 Poptone
    PAS/PRS-400/410 Pathfinder
    RFT-100 Referee Timer
and there's still one left I forgot and can't remember the name of (edit: it was the W-110) - maybe there's more but those are the ones I know that have a vibration alarm and can be completely muted
edit: oops, forgot the GB-5600 and GB-6900

    cheers, Sedi

With the watch sitting on its face and the case back removed the spring(s) should be pointing straight up out of the holes in the module that they sit in. They should look undamaged and generally about 1mm or so is exposed in order to make contact with the backplate and produce sound.

    Re: GA-110 Beep Question

Probably no help whatsoever, but here's a photo of a vintage DW5200 I use to own showing springs located on the module front, which then made contact with the conductive coating on the inside of the case to make the 'beep' & alarm noise...

All sorted. Back was put on the wrong way! Got new seals and pressure tested while I was at it.
