GA100 Negative to Positive Display Mod???

Has anyone modded their GA100 from the stock negative display to positive? The negative is darn near impossible to read in certain situations. I know it is just a matter of replacing the polarizing film 90 degrees from the current orientation. The process seems pretty straight forward on full faced LCD models. I am wondering about the analog hands on the module, will they need to be removed before replacing the film? Or is the polarized film only over the two small display windows?

    Thanks for any help

Just by perusing this thread it appears as though you do have to remove the hands...
