    Ga100 watch swap

    Hi everyone,

I have tried to do some research into this but have come up short. Either my google-fu is weak or there isn't much out there on this topic. (I am going to guess the first).

I have a ga100 and don't really like the plastic band. I want to swap it for a nato or Zulu military style band.

I know that you need adapters if you are swapping most g-shocks to a different band.

But all of the research I have done up until this point shows me square watches being swapped.

My questions are: can I use these adapters for my round faced watch, and if not, how do I swap bands on the round faced watch?

    Thanks

The secret to searching for stuff around here: use Google and use the prefix "site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17" (minus the " marks) plus your search terms.

I found this long list of results by Googling "site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 ga-100 adapter": https://www.google.com/search?q=site...utf-8&oe=utf-8

Note: using the "/f17" suffix above returns hits from the Casio G-Shock subforum first, but won't include sub-sub-forums "Articles and Tutorials" and "FAQ's." Sometimes it's best to leave the "/f17" part off or better yet, search both with and without it!

Yes, you can use the "normal" square adapters on the GA-100 and -110! Some of the "best" of the above results:

Jays and Kays is good at marketing -- all of their Casio adapters are the same, but they list them differently on eBay to get more traffic. If you were to buy a set of "those" adapters and a set of their DW-5600E adapters and a set of their 6600/6900 adapters, you would receive six identical adapters, which are their own version of Casio's "standard" 16mm adapters.

A complete list of adapters as of December (?) 2015:

Original Casio resin adapters in the US:

PacParts: 91041910487 $4.14 per pair plus $4.95 shipping inside the US (Pacparts is now using USPS for international shipping, so it's not as insanely expensive as it used to be -- but as of 1/1/16 it was $9.89 to ship two adapters to London, England.)

CountyComm - Adapters For Casio G-Shock Watches $12 USD plus shipping plus $9.95 shipping inside the US

maratac $12 a pair plus $6.00 shipping inside the US

Original Casio resin adapters in the UK and Europe:

G Shock adaptors - Tiktox £13.80 per pair with free shipping in the UK

There are also three aftermarket companies also producing their own style of adapters:

Brushed, polished, or coated stainless steel adapters: http://www.suppaparts.com/suppag.php

3D printed adapters made of plastic or metal: Keoni by Keoni - Shapeways Shops

Plastic/resin adapters that are similar to and resemble Casio adapters: http://stores.ebay.com/JaysAndKays $12 a pair for adapters only, in five different colors OR $25 for a pair of black adapters, PLUS a 24mm strap in seven colors and two buckle finishes
HoosierTrooper, GaryK30 and Kev55 like this.

    Re: Ga100 watch swap

I don't have a picture, but the original Casio adapters on a GA-100 don't look quite right- they're a little stop small for the watch and don't quite blend in.
