    Re: GA1100 and GWA1100

I had the GA1100 for about a week, Really liked it. The backlight is a torch at night, and the crystal is domed. All the features are typical G-Shock level quality. No solar or atomic which is fine with me. A great analog watch that I would have kept had I not ordered a Gulfmaster at the same time, and could only keep one.

Although the GWA1100 has solar and atomic features it does not have a backlight at all. For some not a big deal, but for me a deal killer. Great looking watch though.

That Edifice looks really nice, report back if you get it!

Have you looked into the GPW1000 or GWN1000?

Thx for respond, I think I neglect edifice eqb500 cuz my current watch is eqs-a500 and its one of the top edifice models with tough solar and smart access and i think if i go for eqb500 there isnt much difference, so i will go for gshock.
I saw gpw1000, i like it but its too expensive and i think gps isnt for me. I like gwn1000 features but i dont like its look and size. its big for my wrist size!! I think i go for ga1100, Im a little doutful about tough solar I wish it was tough solar!!!
and about the size ga1100 is smaller the gwn1000? am i right???

Yes the GA1100 is a bit smaller. The EQB has all the bluetooth features over the EQS and syncs time with a smartphone, which is kinda cool.

    Re: GA1100 and GWA1100

That plain black and white GA1100-1A looks very good! I hope the negative digital display is as easy to read in picture as in real life. Unfortunately at this point it's only a Japanese release, so a bit pricier. But even that it's more reasonably priced than the GWA1100, which has lesser functions.

Edifice used to be notorious for super busy watch face, I guess now they cleaned it up a whole lot. The Bluetooth EQR500/510 series don't offer a whole lot of app functions, if you compare to smart watches. So it may not be worth it for a Bluetooth version, unless you really want it. There're also equivalent full analog versions (EQS-A500 and EFR-5xx) and analog-digital versions (ERA-500). I think the new ERA-500 analog-digital looks pretty good.

That ERA500 looks like it has the same module as the GA1100 minus compass and thermometer. Face layout is identical, which isn't a bad thing. Good looking watch.
I agree the bluetooth is kinda gimmicky, but still a great option for those that can not receive atomic time sync.

This is an awesome watch with a sapphire crystal. I highly recommend it.

You could always go with a gw-a1000 or 1000d. They don't have saphire but also don't have the compass markings on the dial. Solar, atomic and very wearable.
