    Question Gaussman question...

....can anyone tell me what the model number is for this new-in-the-box Gaussman I just bought?? I know its an AW-571, but does anyone know the rest of the model number, what year it was made, and whether this model is rare?

The rest of the number is written on the sticker above the price!

It came out in 1998 or 1999. It's difficult to understand the G-Shock Bible and their dating system.

Not so rare, I think. There's usually a couple on sale at any time on YA. Year is '98 or '99, as mentioned above.

I don't think it's too rare. I bought one back in '97 or '98 It was an older model; it had an older color scheme (white hands and red 'G-Shock') and didn't have the logo of the little creature at the 7-8 o'clock position.

It's a really nice watch though! I've put it through alot, and it's still going strong today. Only had to change the battery once since I bought it.

It 's the Men In Black II Gaussman model (black/yellow colorscheme). The MIB (I) versions were black with grey/white lettering. The AW-571 version was called Mudman and is the only analogue Mudman.
