gd100 backlight while in config mode

hello. when configuring timer or alarm then the light button doesnt act as a light button but as a "reverse" button. any way to disable this function? i cant setup my timer or alarm in complete darkness without my backlight. and using the autoled is a retarded solution for this. any advice? thanks

There is no other way to do it. You must go by your intuition.

Bottom line: if you want a fully night operational watch, forget about Casio and look at the Timex line.

weird that i havent seen anyone else complain about this. and i did a lot of research before buying the watch.
seems like a gshock with the dedicated light button below the screen is my best option.

Even with a dedicated button you can't turn the light on while setting the watch. In most cases "G" (light) button is also used to set different functions like auto repeat in timer mode.
So, if you really need that light while setting and A.EL is too fiddly, then you must go with a different brand.

The 5th light button takes care of that in most cases - not on the DW-6900 when setting the timer as kurzjak already mentioned. Best is a watch with longer illumination like the G-9000/7900. And when the beeps are turned off the light also stays on when changing modes.

    Cheers, Sedi
