    Getting a 'Stormtrooper'

    Hello All,

I believe this is my first post in the G-Shock forum. I do currently have 1 GW-300 that I love, and gets lots of use. I also just ordered a G9000-8V the fabled 'Stormtrooper' which should be arriving any day now.

I presume its as durable as all G-Shocks are, and have seen the Casio toughness video. I was curious of any extra thoughts someone may have..and of course personal pics are more than welcome to get my appetite raging.
    Cheers!

Welcome to the G Forum and congrats on your incoming 'Stormtrooper' . The Mudman is one of the best modules IMO and tough as nails. The resin strap is a bit softer than the older straps but it is super comfy .

I actually found an ebay seller that has them "NIB" for $59.00 [+$5 shipping]...so for that price I thought I would give it a shot...

the sellers name was "jj_watches" and they had loads of positive feedback. When I bought mine they had 2 available.

I am going to be using it for a trip to Africa in May...its going to be the only watch I bring with me and will see loads of water [inclduing some Great White Shark cage diving!!!!]
    Cheers!

I was looking at the list of features [yowza!]...whats "Flash Alert"?...I'm sure its something obvious that I am missing, but right now I have no clue. Thanks!

I think that's the feature that flashes the backlight whenever an alarm sounds, but I could be mistaken. If I ever get another muddie, it'll be this one. I had the GW9010 for a week, but it just wasn't for me.
