    Getting a thin G-Shock soon. G-7700 or G-7600?

    Help me decide.

    G-7700
Pros: Latest design(DUH!). Looks cool and not so old fashion. 14.6mm

    Cons: Small digits!!!

    G-7600
    Pros: Large digits!!! Looks simpler.

    Cons: Retro design. 14.95mm.

I hate small digits. That's why I seldom wear my Mudman and have yet to buy a Gulfman.

Instead, I wear my G-2900 all the time. For one, when I'm jogging it is much EASIER to read the stopwatch. And even when I'm not jogging, I find the large digits on the G-2900 easier to read too.

But the problem with the G-2900 is it is too thick. I can't conceal it well when I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt.

So, which should I get? G-7700 with a thinner and newer design but small digits or a slightly thicker G-7600 with a retro design but large digits?

I AM OPEN TO OTHER SUGGESTIONS TOO! Remember, THIN and LARGE DIGITS.

I'd say go with one of the basic tough solars like the G-5600 or the G-5700. Both are rather slim by G-shock standards, and have large digits, perfect for workouts etc. Also the G-8000 is one of the the best G-shocks due to the lower profile and HUGE digits.

    Hi CeeBeeCee,

As for the thinnest G-Shock, that will be the G(W)-056 actually. Your question is a difficult one for me, since I don't have them both and hope to have one of each in the future.

Slightly my choice would lean over to the G-7700. A lot of features on a basic G-Shock, although I agree with you that the busy screen results in small digits. I think it's special because personally it doesn't really look like a G-Shock.

On the G-7600 I think the retro look is a Pro for me. That's personal of course

    Cheers,

But neither of these are thin...
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I look rather terrible on squarish watches........

    Any others?

EDIT: The G-056 is available where I live. Confused it with another model....

I'm also leaning towards the G-7700 but only because it is newer and slightly thinner.

Oh and does anyone has any pics of the G-7700 strap and sides?

The G-5700 is the roundish one....

Same module as the G-5600 too.

Ha ha.... I think I owned one of this or something pretty similar to this when I was a kid.......

But apparently, it's pretty hard to find a 5700 where I live. I've actually been eyeing this for a couple of months now. If I can find one, I'll get this together with another thin and large digit one.

    @ geebeecee,

if you are looking for a very thin watch, you probably shouldn't consider a G but rather a PAW 1300 protrek/pathfinder. they feature about everything one could ask for (including wave ceptor, solar, 24h cdt and 24h stopwatch) and are only 12mm thick...

    Have you considered a G8000?

Pros: It's quite thin, decent size digits and good features.
    Con: Looks odd.

*Edit* Just noticed Kevin already suggested it. You could consider it twice?
