Quick question for you guys, does anyone use the step counter regularly? The counter itself is pretty accurate...but the calorie calculation is just absurd. So I went for a small hike today, racked up a little more than 10,000 steps and it says I burned 2,500 calories! Hahaha I don’t expect it to be a Fitbit or anything, but something is way off here. Is there something in the settings I need to adjust or is it that type of absurd inaccuracy the norm?

Edit: Looking at it more closely the wording is “calories consumed”...so I guess maybe it isn’t necessarily stating I’m burning that many calories, but that is my recommended daily intake I think. Odd way to word it if that is the case.

I believe it adds what your body would naturally burn (meaning height, weight, gender, age) plus what you're burning by steps. Such as today I'm wearing my GWG-1000 and not the GG-B100 so I don't have any stats other than what my body naturally burns on its own in a 24 hour period. I just checked my app and it estimates that I've burned over 900 calories and its 1230 PM right now.

Ah, okay. That is a bit odd. I'd rather have it just tell me what I've theoretically burned, but I can always just do the math on my own. I know they're never very accurate anyway, so in the long run not a big deal. Anyway, thanks for the response!

The all black GG-B100's are out! I want one but I just dropped a lot of cash on my protrek. Time to start saving.
