    Question glx inverted display

    hi guys
    has anyone tried to invert a glx display to negative?
    i want to mod a GLX-5500-1JF.
    i used the search function but no result.

    I don't know the answer to your exact question but I would assume the procedure is similar to modding a 5600, seeing as how they are both square (rectangular) displays.

    The one thing I'd watch out for with this particular model is the moon data. If you make this negative then a full moon (normally all positive) would look like a new moon. Maybe cutting the polarising film to exclude the moon part would be a solution.

    my concern is about the foil on the moon/tide.


    but i think the foil or how it's called it's under the polarizing film.

    The tinted foil giving the display the two different colors is usually under teh lcd itself. You should be good to go by just replacing teh top polarizing film.
