For those of us who are g-shock fans in the U.S. in the predicament of having to replace seals, batteries, general cleaning, etc., I have to let you guys know the Casio Sales & Service guys really did a good job on the gaussman.
I bought it new from Japan dead on arrival. After shuffling back and forth between Casio NJ and Casio Sales & Service, it became apparent the latter had their act together. They did a battery replacement (who knew the gaussman needed two batteries??) and a water pressure test. I'm glad to say the seals on this watch are still good. Turn around was roughly two and a half weeks.
No going back to those battery replacement kiosks in the mall no more.
