    GPR-B1000 Charging Behavior

To all you folks with a GPR-B1000, when you charge the watch using the USB charger, does the lighting bolt icon disappear when it is done charging / at full charge?

Yes it does. One point to note. Even if the battery indicator on the watch face is showing "all bars" (i.e. full charge) it can still take quite some time after you plug in with the USB charger before the lightning bolt disappears. My Ranger was showing "all bars" when I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and it was probably an hour or more before the "Bolt" disappeared.

Having said that, unless I go absolutely mad with the GPS set to "HIGH RATE" I can't see myself using the USB charger. Yeah famous last words I'm sure hehe.

Yes it does. Only used my charger once when it was new and as I’ve never used the high rate GPS the watch is as happy as Larry on solar power alone.

Yeah same here, however like many others my GPS Ranger is fine on solar power, given there's no shortage

I've always found Casio to be extremely conservative with battery runtime, don't expect the GPS Ranger to break the trend

Will it charge via solar while using the usb charger? Thus shortening the charge time.
