GR-B100-1A3 Defect: The dreaded second hand stuck problem

I bought the watch four months ago mainly because it is the first solar digital that has 1/1000 stopwatch and 1/10 timer but also because of the Bluetooth to keep the time near-perfect (where I live, there is no MB-6).
The truth is that after wearing it for a month, I started feeling it was kinda small (8.25" wrist) and even a little childish. So, my son got a nice gift and I returned to my kings, the gpw-1000 and the gprb-1000.

Anyway, 2 hours ago, he realized the second hand is stuck. It stucks on 9 and randomly begins to move but with micro-moves that take about 4 or 5 seconds to advance 1 and then randomly stops. The only thing that makes it move a little is when I press the connect buttom. Besides that, nothing else, including adjust works.

I have tried to find someone with a similar issue on the grb-100 without success. So, am I the first ?

I have it on guarantee so I am not worried about it really. But if anyone has any suggestion short of opening the watch, I appreciate it.

Warranty claim. Don't play around with it, definitely don't open it.

There are other Casio models that are affected by this issue indeed my further internet research has shown that many if not most brands quartz digitals are affected to some extent. In other words it may be rare, but it just happens.

Good thing you still have warranty. Given how rare the issue is, I imagine your repaired watch will serve you for a very long time.

if the battery was on low, it would still tick, it would just tick every 2-3 seconds, it wouldnt just stop and inch worm along in one spot. if the battery was dead, all hands would park on 12.
dont waste anymore time with it, the sooner you send it back, the sooner your kid gets his watch back
