    Question Grrr, damn, bum etc

Unbelievably my 3 month old Riseman has got a substantial scratch on the glass face. Its across the digits too so annoying and hard to ignore.

Now yes I bought the watch as a 'beater', but have since joined the forum, LOVE the watch and want to keep it clean&tidy for as long as poss.

Im fairly confident I could change the glass I see many people here do.

Can anyone give me a guide how its done please and where to source the new glass ( UK would be the best option)

    Obliged

Sorry to hear that, mate. You must have hit it pretty hard to scratch it (and get past the rubber bezel).

You might want to consider just getting a new one altogether.

for the cost and work thats involve in changing the crystal, i would just leave it as is.

and just wear the Riseman as a real beater (i.e. really beat it up and don't care)

if it really bugs you, i would just sell it as is and then get another one. yes, you are going to take a loss in that, but that might be easier than having the crystal changed out.

    YMMV

Yeah, Casio charges a lot of certain parts, but give them a call and see how much to be sure. You might want to see if it would somehow be covered by warranty too.

I wonder what their warranty policy is on cracked crystals?

I am working on a scratch right now with 3 and 10 micron diamond paste. Depending on the scratch, you might at least polish enough to remove the opacity. Here is what I am using.
