Which G's come stock w/nylon band?

The g2110v I know, but apparently not the old 2110-2vsds.

The gw002ka-3v looks like a nice atomic/solar w.nylon. And the g2300 now has a nylon banded version. What else?

Also, what are the recommended aftermarket nylon straps, and how do those work out for different models (I remember reading threads about people here buying adaptors for this purpose and them not working for some reason).

I have a G-3010 that came with the double nylon band.

I have used the strap adaptors on a number of G-Shocks. They work great with a 24mm 2-ring Zulu strap.

My DW-9000 has a leather/nylon band, also both of my DW-004's
have the same type of bands. I think there are some of the G-2900's that come with the double nylon bands.

    Greetings:

Quite a few people have mounted their G-Shocks on zulu straps. Maratac manufactures the straps in a variety of widths, colors, hardware finishes and two or four ring configurations. Most have found that a G-Shock with strap adaptors works best when mated to a 24mm wide zulu. In my opinion, the quality apparent in the Maratac zulu straps is excellent and the price quite reasonable.

In order to utilize a zulu strap you must first determine if the particular model of G-Shock involved will mate with strap adaptors. Not all models do. In addition, some models require a slightly curved strap adaptor whereas others accept only the straight strap adaptors.

Lastly, some have mentioned that it can be quite difficult to fit a strap adaptor as the fit seems uncommonly tight. A good spring bar tool aids in manipulating the spring bar and adaptor into place allowing for a tight friction fit. If necessary, an exacto knife or similar blade can be used to trim the mold tab of of the back of the adaptor allowing easier application.

Zulu straps and strap adaptors can be obtained from several very reputable firms in the US. My favorite is Dr. Howard Marx of Westcoastime at: http://www.westcoastime.com/newzulbanare.htm

I hope that this helps answer your questions and concerns.

Thanks Mike. Look like pretty solid straps there. Guess not a whole lot come with nylon from casio. g3011v was the only other one I saw which did.

Are there two different types of nylon bands that come on G's? One has a clasp, one velcro? Wish they differentiated this on their product descriptions.

Anyone have the g2300b or the g2110v? Clasps? gw002ka?

Yes, I have a genuine Casio black two layer nylon strap which employs velcro to position the watch head on the strap and a male/female resin clasp instead of a buckle. I've never used it but it appears quite well made.

    Hi jlh,

Here is my G-2110 with the double velcro/clasp nylon band. It's kind of thick when you look at it on your wrist but after awhile you don't really notice it.

    Hope this helps you out.

I couldn't agree with you more. I got my G-7400 just a little while ago which is almost the same watch minus the atomic timekeeping. But I want the GW-002 mostly for the band. How bad is that :-S :-S .

So what's the deal with the gw002 band? How is it different than the 2110 and 2300?
