    G's for kids?

Hi, I was looking to purchase some nice cool G-shocks for my 3 kids as a going home present (i've been away from there for almost a year because of work) and I was looking to get the something they'll find cool and that they'd enjoy wearing. (you know how kids tend to neglect watches if they don't find it "cool" enough?)

I have a 12 yr old daughter, and boys who are 11 and 9 yrs old respectively ..... all of them play for the Soccer Varsity team .... i want to get them watches which will outlast any activity they go into may it be playing in the rain, mud or swimming in the beach and which can grow with them till their teens.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated? I'm not that familiar with G-shocks so if possible, kindly post pics model number and an approximate price on how much these models cost.

I'm planning to buy them these watches by next weekend and will update you guys on my purchase.

    Thanks in advance

    :thanks

The DW-5600E is inexpensive and has lots of good features. It can frequently be found for under $50.

    I would look here:

to see what may catch your fancy, and hopefully theirs.

    Good luck!

Those are both great picks. I got a DW6900MS-1 for my 9 year old son. He loves it, and I love that it can take whatever he can dish out.

May be a bit big for a young girl. Males seem to like bigger, though both may be a bit big for a while. Both of those choices are good, and some are colorful, that they might like. The muddy seems a little larger than the gulf.

You know better what your kids like than any of us would.

the MS-1 looks great. i'll send this image to my daughter to see if she likes it. if so then its a done deal. not sure if she'll dig the pink though

Baby G's are just as tough, but smaller. Generally are sized to fit the finer wrists of the ladies. My wife has one an MSG-300C. She loves it!

that baby-g looks very nice, if only i would've stumbled earlier in these forums. I would've been able to plan for a whole G family. I already purchased a 'breil' for my wife so i guess the G's will be for the kids

    Re: G's for kids?

I would suggest checking out the G-7700 and G-7710 range. Good choice of colours, excellent clear displays, inexpensive, slimmer than other G's and lots of timing options for sport oriented kids.
