Question GShocks: Vintage, New or Both

How is your G-Shock collection building up? Are you collecting mostly new, a mix of new and vintage, or mostly vintage? I imagine for most it's the first -- either only new or mostly new with some vintage. But it'll be interesting to see what the poll shows.

VINTAGE: Manufactured at least 10 years ago or more
NEW: Bought as new within about the last 5 years, up to this year

I have voted for what I currently have (new only) but not for where I hope the collection to grow (new + older MRGs) :)

From the ones I bought in the 80's to the ga800 I received this month it's probably about an even mix. I'm not really a collector just a G enthusiast really. I may have a total of a couple dozen.

I have a mix of new and old....I like mostly the older versions as the newer ones don't really appeal to me....I don't like rhe ana-digi combo

I would say that pretty much all of mine are "vintage". I seem to gravitate towards the simple tried and true modules. The DW5600E, DW9052, G100, and DW6900 are probably my favorite G-Shocks.

A lot of my G's are late 90's to mid 2000's. I do have a bunch of anniversary 2008's and 2013's though, which I wouldn't call "vintage", a GW5000 from a few years ago and 1 new square. My future purchases look to me more oldies though, some older screwback squares, another early titanium MRG...

Re: GShocks: Vintage, New or Both

I have only new as I’ve just started with G Shock Watches this summer. With Solar and MB6 ease of use is why these will be the only ones I wear daily. I do very much like the look, and stance, of some of the older ones.

Ask me in 2-3 years, and that ratio will shift a bit.

What do we consider vintage? Anything at least 10 years old?
