GST-W300 vs AWGM-100, worth the upgrade?

First timer newbie question: I'm wearing AWGM-100 and considering upgrade to GST-W300. Functions seem identical to me. The only attractions are 1) larger size in GST-W300 which I like (but wish it was as thin as AWGM-100); and 2) upgraded LED on dial and digital display. What do you think? Thanks.

P.S. I tried GST-W300 in store today, size perfect for me but wish it was thinner. And yes it was noticeably smaller than GST-W100, to the extent that I never would consider a 100 series.

Hello. I too have the AWGM-100 only and not the GST-W300. Considering the identical functions, only the metal look and the LED light on the digital display can justify the price jump. If only size is the issue with the AWGM-100, then the answer is the new GAW-100, and I may go for that first before I justify the cost of the 300.

I used to own AWG-M100. Not being able to read LCD displays was the main reason I got rid of it. I did like the smaller size though...

GAW100 is larger than GST-W300 by reading the specs, and more importantly thicker so that's a no go for me. Guess the third reason for the Gsteel for me was to upgrade to a slightly more dressy / less sporty look. Otherwise AWGM100 would be ok.

LCD was small but I feel ok because I dont read day or date too often everyday, if you need it it's there. And I rarely use stopwatch etc. One thing l like is that world time is in digi display, not like some high-end ana-digi Gs (like GWN, GWNQ, GWG, etc.) that you need to wait for the hands to spin for a while to read. I use world time quite often and this is the main reason I got rid of my GWA1100.

Do you have any wrist shots of the GST-W300? It's hard to judge the real-life size of the round Gs.

sorry didn't take pics. Smaller than gst-w110 for sure. Felt like PRW-3100 but thicker.

Please share pics when you get the GST-W300. I've been thinking of getting one and have stayed away from GST-W100/110 as they seem to large for my 6.5" wrist. The GST-W300/310 seem about the right size.
